Network Security Design
Program Features Freescale, AMCC, SafeNet, Cavium,
Hifn, Sensory, Tarari, and Intoto
MOUNTAIN
VIEW, CA—September 12, 2006—On September
21, The Linley Group continues its Linley Tech seminar
series with a one-day event on Embedded Network Security
Design. The seminar brings together industry experts, CTOs,
and technologists from leading vendors to deliver in-depth
technical presentations addressing the specialized needs
of this market. The seminar is intended to provide up-to-the
minute information on the latest products to system designers
who are designing network-security equipment or designing
security into routers or other network equipment. The seminar
delivers new product announcements such as Cavium's architectural
disclosure of its new NITROX PX security processor family.
Bob
Wheeler, senior analyst and author of the report, A
Guide to Security and Content Processors, will kick
off the program with an overview of security technologies
and where they are being deployed in the network. The morning
session will feature talks focused on embedding security
in next-gen networking equipment, while the afternoon session
will concentrate on addressing content-security performance.
The seminar wraps up with a closing panel on the future
directions of network-security processing. Following the
seminar will be a networking reception providing opportunities
for you to network with these industry leaders, analysts,
and your colleagues.
The following are program highlights you won't want to
miss:
-
Dave
Lapp, System Architect, Ottawa Technology Center, Freescale
Semiconductor, "Practical Application of Hardware
Pattern Matching in Security Systems"
-
Victor
Menasce, CTO, Embedded Processor Group, AMCC, "WLAN
Security Implementation Issues for Enterprise Applications"
-

Cavium, Hifn,
Sensory, Tarari, and The Linley Group.
Seminar attendees
are eligible for a special discount on The Linley Group's
recent report, "A Guide to Security
and Content Processors," which provides technology
analysis and deep insight into IPSec and SSL accelerators,
processors integrating high-throughput encryption functions,
as well as content processors and other chips that are
useful for building firewalls, intrusion-detection systems,
and similar security equipment. In addition to providing
meaningful comparisons of leading vendors and products,
the report examines important trends and issues facing
security vendors today, including evolving areas in security-processor
design and the emerging field of content processing. The
report also provides market sizing and vendor share for
security processors. The report is available exclusively
from The Linley Group.
