Metro
Ethernet Equipment Design Challenges are Focus of Linley
Tech Seminar
MOUNTAIN
VIEW, CA—February 28, 2007—On March 13, The
Linley Group will present a Linley Tech seminar on "Metro
Ethernet Equipment Design." This event brings together
top technologists and industry leaders focused on solutions
in the design of Ethernet aggregation, Ethernet access, and
Ethernet-over-Sonet/SDH equipment. Leading chip vendors will
discuss Metro Ethernet applications and how their products
can be used to enhance new designs.
Bob Wheeler, senior analyst at The Linley Group, will
provide an overview of Metro Ethernet design trends
followed by sessions
that address each of these key areas: Control-Plane CPUs,
Ethernet Access Platform Design, and Metro Ethernet Packet
Processing. The day's closing panel will delve into the
