Carrier Ethernet Equipment Design Seminar
Spotlights Design Trends and New Silicon
MOUNTAIN
VIEW, CA—January 16, 2008—The Linley Group, the
leading provider of independent technology analysis for networking,
communications, and consumer electronics semiconductors,
is pleased to announce that attendance to its next Linley
Tech Seminar will be free to qualified OEMs due to a joint
marketing agreement with corporate and industry sponsors.
The one-day seminar, to be held in San Jose, Calif., will
focus on the Design of Carrier Ethernet Equipment. It will
highlight industry trends and zero in on specific applications
using network processors, packet processors, transport processors,
and control-plane processors for applications such as Ethernet
aggregation, Ethernet access and Ethernet-over-optical transport.
“We
are pleased to offer this highly qualified technology
seminar series to technical decision makers for free, thanks
to the generosity of our sponsors,” said Linley Gwennap,
president and principal analyst at The Linley Group. “Our
industry analysts select and screen speakers and content
to ensure that the content is in-depth, application-focused
and pertinent to the needs of the OEM decision maker. For
those companies building carrier Ethernet equipment, this
will be an important event, pulling together in one concentrated
day some of the most important suppliers of enabling technology
discussing real-world application challenges and solutions.
Attendees will have a chance to meet, question and interact
with industry participants from leading suppliers in the
field and with The Linley Group analysts who scrutinize and
report on the emerging trends in these market shaping technologies.”
“The
Linley Tech Seminar is a great forum to inform OEM decision
makers of emerging trends and showcase newly available
technologies,” said
