Kevin Krewell is a senior analyst at The Linley Group and a senior editor of Microprocessor Report. Kevin is the coauthor of our report “ A Guide to Mobile Processors”. Steve Singer, Director of Systems Engineering, AuthenTec
Mr. Singer began his embedded security career at SafeNet in January 2001 as a Staff ASIC Design Engineer where he worked on a development team responsible for building leading-edge security processors. Today, as director of Systems Engineering, Mr. Singer manages a global team of Systems Engineers who support embedded hardware and software security products at AuthenTec (acquired SafeNet Embedded Security Solutions Division in February 2010), an industry leader in embedded security, identity management and touch control solutions.Mr. Singer is directly responsible for pre-sales, as well as a contributor to product management and product marketing for the company’s portfolio of embedded mobile, digital rights management (DRM), and networking security solutions. Mr. Singer has more than a decade of experience in semiconductor, networking and embedded security industries. Prior to beginning his embedded security career, Steve worked as a Sr. ASIC Design Engineer at OKI Semiconductor. He has a MS in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Bart Stevens, Director of Product Management, AuthenTec
Mr. Stevens joined SafeNet in 2002 as Director of Research and Development where he was responsible for Engineering Management for the SafeXcel™ chip and Embedded IP product Line. Today, Mr. Stevens, as Director of Product Management, is responsible for pre-sales, sales, and marketing support for AuthenTec’s (acquired SafeNet Embedded Security Solutions Division in February 2010) embedded hardware security solutions for the mobile and networking industry. Mr. Stevens has 20 years of experience in semiconductor, networking and embedded security industries. Prior to joining AuthenTec & SafeNet, Bart worked in the CTO office of NXP (formerly known as Philips Semiconductors). Mr. Stevens holds a BSEE from Fontys Institute in the Netherlands.
