On April 30 - May 1, The Linley Group hosted the Annual Linley Tech Mobile Conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Santa Clara CA.

Smartphones and tablets are becoming the go-to devices for everyday computing and the first computing device for many people in emerging economies. But rapid changes in feature set and performance, along with constant pressure to reduce price, are changing the way that the devices are designed. Processor vendors must deliver a complete platform that meets the needs of this fast-moving market.

This two-day, single-track conference featured technical presentations addressing design issues for mobile devices such as tablet computers, smartphones, navigation devices, media players, handheld games, and e-book readers. In addition, The Linley Group presented an overview of the market, technologies, equipment-design, and silicon trends for designers of mobile devices.

We also added a session on processors and IP for wearable devices, highlighting the ultra-low cost and power requeired for this emerging market.

This event is the only one of its kind focused on mobile platform design.

This conference was intended for *designers of mobile chips, mobile devices, and mobile software as well as service providers, press, and the financial community.
