Linley Spring Processor Conference Goes Virtual
The Linley Spring Processor Conference was held as a virtual event. Attendees were able to view live-streamed presentations and interact with the speakers during Q&A and breakout sessions. The virtual format allowed us to deliver the same great content to a wider group of attendees than ever before. At the end of each day breakout sessions allowed attendees to interact directly with the speakers for in-depth discussions. These changes addressed the current COVID-19 restrictions on in-person events.
The conference was held on April 6-9, 2020 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm PDT (UTC-7) daily and showcased an impressive lineup of technical presentations from industry experts addressing processors and IP cores for AI applications, embedded, data center, automotive, IoT, communications, and server designs.
Linley Gwennap, principal analyst, The Linley Group opened the event with an overview of the market, technologies, equipment-design, and silicon trends. The remainder of the program was packed with talks and panel discussions covering the following topics:
- AI for Ultra-Low-Power Applications
- 5G and AI at the Network Edge
- Data-Center Processors and Accelerators
- Accelerating AI and Other Embedded Workloads
- Processor Technology
The conference was intended for chip designers, system designers, equipment vendors, OEM/ODMs, service providers, press, and the financial community.
